There's a fella on youtube called 'eurotrash motorsports'. He had one of these that was burning oil and had low compression. His sister had one with the same engine burning oil. He fixed both of them by piston soaking them both with Berrymans b12 for a couple of cycles. Maybe that'll help you on this one. Congrats on the 400.

The Pentastar at the foundation is a GREAT engine. The pennies saved in the supporting hardware can kill it. I've already replaced the plastic thermostat that grenades, the plastic oil cooler/oil filter mount, and the lifters. Granted all done after 150k . 2015 Durango.

The heat and air trade, equipment has gone to PC controlled crap, try to clone motors and controls in.

I noticed something was wrong, and decided to just stay with older vehicles which I can fix myself, it's very obvious this industry is going after those auto parts stores, because like you say..in the near future won't be able to do much of anything, I remember in high school going to the junk yard getting a carburetor for 15.00 buck.....it's very simple freedom of ownership is not going to be so free someday soon

This happened to my 2012 Wrangler, and they haven't fixed this issue. At least it fails to the open position.

On that engine there is a temp sensor that should be changed with the thermostat. I don't think they normally state it, but I've seen more than one that will start throwing that code again if the sensor is not replaced. I wonder if in some cases it's not the thermostat, but really the sensor?

I had this fixed, replaced on my Hyundai but it didn’t fix the issue. It is still reading the code which shows it needs the VVT Solenoid, which is actually inside the engine, not just the sensor on the outside

My dad has a 2014 ram pick up with v6 pentastar oil filter housing seals start breakdown over time 265000 oil filter housing blew out it seals

the v6 challengers & chargers are very underrated,plenty of power & pretty good gas mileage,they are very good daily drivers.

My 16 year old Tacoma only has upgraded speakers. That’s it. Got 263k miles. Looking for a new truck now and it’s insane.

The v6 in that car and the mustang are very underrated. Especially the mustang the v6 is a better motor and more reliable and easier to work on. They have plenty of power for a 2 door car. They just don’t have the street cred😢. I care a lot what other people think… nope!

Love my Challenger, honestly. I have a bit different of a model though - the SRT8. Lil bit faster.
